The Man in Black 4K Ultra HD Out Now! (Limited Edition Hammer Films Release)

The latest Hammer Films 4K release has arrived in the form of, The Man in Black Limited Collector’s Edition which arrived this week and has already sold out over on Amazon and HMV.

Fear not you can still purchase directly from Hammer or from Zavvi (see below for purchasing details).

The Man in Black (1950) is Hammer thriller film directed by Francis Searle. It stars Betty Ann Davies, Valentine Dyall, Sheila Burrell, Anthony Forwood, and a seemingly out of place Sidney James.

This is another of Hammer’s lesser known titles but I’d say its well worth a look.

Hammer say this release has “been painstakingly restored by Hammer in 4K from the original film negatives.” So this really should be the ultimate release for the film. I’ll be sure to take a look at it very release soon.

You can find the 4K restoration trailer lower down the page.
