As the spooky season arrives, I’m pleased to inform you that there are plenty of new horror releases arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD in the UK. This October’s 2025 line-up features a fabulous mix of new releases, classics and highly-anticipated limited editions and steelbooks editions.
Horror Film Releases On Blu-ray and DVD October 2025

Week of 6th October
The first week of October 2025 kicks off with Arrow Video releasing Lucio Fulci’s iconic horror film Zombie Flesh Eaters (1979), starring Tisa Farrow, Ian McCulloch and Richard Johnson on 4K Ultra HD.
Studiocanal is set to release 90’s horror film, Baby Blood (1990) on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. Directed by Alain Robak, the film stars Emmanuelle Escourrou.
Although I think the classic Fright Night (1985), directed by Tom Holland, which arrives on a 4K UHD + Blu-ray Steelbook from Elevation Sales may be on my shopping list!
DVD Only
High Fliers releases the new horror thriller Bone Face (2025), starring Elena Sanchez and Jeremy London in this DVD only release.

Week of 13th October
This week is a horror fan’s dream with so many titles arriving in time for Halloween. The biggest release in my opinion has to be from Hammer Films.
They are bringing out Limited Collector’s Edition on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray of the classic, The Curse of Frankenstein (1957). The film was directed by Terence Fisher and stars horror legends Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. I’ll be sure to pick this one up!
Other notable releases include:
88 Films offers a trio of titles with sci-fi horror comedy, Bad Channels (1992), sci-fi horror, Prey (1977) and the slasher horror Uncle Sam (1996). All are available on Blu-ray, with Prey also on DVD.

Eureka Entertainment presents two limited editions on Blu-ray. First up is the horror thriller The Ambulance (1990), starring Eric Roberts and James Earl Jones. The second new release is the film The Island (1985).

Arrow Video brings a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray of the horror favourite, The Return of the Living Dead (1985), directed by Dan O’Bannon.

Radiance Films releases the horror film Daughters of Darkness (1971), starring Delphine Seyrig and John Karlen, as a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray.
101 Films brings the new horror film Helloween (2025), written and directed by Phil Claydon and starring Michael Paré, to Blu-ray.
Studiocanal is set to releases the 1990 psychological horror film Jacob’s Ladder, directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Tim Robbins, on a 4K Ultra HD Steelbook, there’s also a standard Blu-ray option.
DVD Only
There are a few titles that only have a DVD release. They include the horror film Borley Rectory: The Awakening from Kaleidoscope and the horror western Forgive Us All (2025) from Lightbulb Film Distribution.

Week of 20th October
The horror titles just keep coming as we approach Halloween. Studiocanal takes the classic British supernatural horror anthology Dead of Night (1945) and brings it to 4K UHD + Blu-ray.
The BFI also has an interesting title with the release 1960 horror classic, Eyes Without a Face on 4K Ultra HD.
Icon brings the 2006 comedy horror Severance, directed by Christopher Smith and starring Danny Dyer, to 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray as a Collector’s Edition, with standard Blu-ray and DVD also available.
Arrow Video adds the 2021 horror film The Sadness on a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD. Meanwhile 88 Films has the horror film, The Town that Dreaded Sundown (1976) arriving on Blu-ray.
Hammer Films has a Hammer Horrors Boxset from Hammer Film, featuring HD remasters of The Curse Of Frankenstein, Dracula and The Mummy on Blu-ray. I should note that these are HD Remasters made in the 2010s and NOT new 4K restorations.
Week of 27th October
The final week of October delivers a grand finale of horror. Warner Bros has a big release with A Nightmare on Elm Street 7 Film Collection on standard 4K Ultra HD or a Steelbook collection.
Other key releases:
Elevation Sales has multiple big titles. New horror film, I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025) on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Steelbook.
Another new horror, Bring Her Back (2025), directed by Danny and Michael Philippou arrives on Blu-ray.
There’s also a special 4K Ultra HD Steelbook of the 1997 sci-fi horror, Event Horizon.
Arrow Video is releasing a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD of John Carpenter’s classic horror thriller, In the Mouth of Madness (1994). I’d recommend pre-ordering this now to avoid disappointment.
Eureka Entertainment releases the 2008 psychological horror Martyrs on a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray.
Criterion Collection brings the sci-fi horror film Altered States (1980) to 4K Ultra HD.
Paramount releases Tim Burton’s 1999 classic Sleepy Hollow on a 4K Ultra HD Steelbook.
88 Films is set to release the 1976 horror thriller SS Experiment Love Camp on 4K UHD + Blu-ray and Blu-ray.
Final Cut Entertainment offers the 1996 horror film Thinner, based on a story by Stephen King arriving on both Blu-ray and DVD.
Finally Lightbulb Film Distribution has the horror documentary, Chain Reactions (2024) arriving on Blu-ray.
