It’s time for me to round-up of this week’s new 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray titles. As with most week’s, there’s a decent mix from classic thrillers, special and limited editions.
Here is a summary of the latest UK Blu-ray new releases that arrived on the 22 July 2024.
Films & Special Editions – Blu-ray Releases 22 July 2024

A Bittersweet Life (2005) (4K UHD / Blu-ray)
Second Sight Films brings releases for the South Korean film “A Bittersweet Life.” This one is available as a Limited Edition 4K UHD + Blu-ray, standard 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray.

Abigail (2024) (Blu-ray)
Warner Bros releases the modern horror film “Abigail” on Blu-ray. There is not 4K release so far for this title.
A gang of criminals abducts the ballerina daughter of a notorious underworld kingpin and takes her to a secluded mansion. Following their leader’s orders, they must keep Abigail under guard for 24 hours, after which they are promised an equal share of a $50 million ransom from her father.

Blow Out (1981) (4K UHD + Blu-ray)
This week the Criterion Collection released the classic film, “Blow Out” in a dual format of 4K UHD + Blu-ray. This Brian De Palma’s thriller, which starring John Travolta and Nancy Allen, is in my opinion at least a classic. I highly recommend giving the movie a look!

Bruiser (2000) Limited Edition (4K UHD + Blu-ray)
Indicator has the releases of “Bruiser” as a Limited Edition on both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray formats. If have to admit to not having seen this lesser-known George A. Romero film.

Bullet to Beijing (1995) (Blu-ray)
Final Cut brings the Harry Palmer, espionage thriller starring Michael Caine to Blu-ray this week. This is a made for TV movie but still one I would you giving a look.

Clockwork Mice (1995) (Blu-ray)
Also from Final Cut, “Clockwork Mice” which available on Blu-ray.

Die, Monster, Die! (1965) (Blu-ray)
BFI has just released the classic horror film, “Die, Monster, Die!” on Blu-ray. The film features horror legend Boris Karloff.

La Chimera (2023) (Blu-ray)
Curzon Film bring “La Chimera” on Blu-ray this week. It’s not a film I’m seen so can’t recommend .

Love Hotel: Directors Company Edition (Blu-ray)
Arrow Video brings “Love Hotel: Directors Company Edition” to Blu-ray. This edition offers a restored version of the provocative Japanese drama, complete with special features and extras.

Love Lies Bleeding (2024) (Blu-ray)
Lionsgate releases the 2024 film “Love Lies Bleeding” on Blu-ray. This film has recently been in cinemas across the UK and stars Anna Baryshnikov and Kristen Stewart.

Message From Space (1978) Special Edition (Blu-ray)
This week Eureka Entertainment has, “Message From Space” which is a ‘Special Edition Blu-ray’ release. from Japan.

Single White Female (1992) Limited Edition (Blu-ray)
Another Indicator’s Limited Edition releases out this week on Blu-ray is “Single White Female” starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
