Australian Western, The Proposition (2005) Releases On 4K UHD / Blu-ray

The BFI are releasing the Guy Pearce Australian Western The Proposition (2005) this April 2022 in the UK on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. The 2 disc release is packed full of extras.

The Proposition also stars Ray Winstone, Danny Huston, John Hurt, David Wenham and Emily Watson.

There’s good news too as the BFI state that this release is newly restored in 4K.

Newly restored in 4K, director John Hillcoat (The Road, Triple 9) and writer Nick Cave’s modern classic is presented here as a new 4K UHD, along with a Blu-ray disc featuring new and archive extras.

Both 4K UHD and Blu-ray versions release on the 11th April 2022 in the UK.

Let’s take a look at what is included with this latest release from the BFI.

The Proposition 4K UHD (2 Discs)

The 4K version comes on two discs one being the film on 4K UHD and the second disc containing the extras on standard Blu-ray.

It should be noted that this release is limited to 5000 copies.

The extras include interviews, audio commentary, making of, trailers and a double sided poster.

There’s also a 80 page book featuring new writing and recollections from director John Hillcoat.
