I’ve been really enjoying SAS Rogue Heroes Series 2 which came to end last Sunday, (also available on BBC iPlayer) so I’m pleased to see it arriving on Blu-ray and DVD early in February 2025.
There’s also a SAS Rogue Heroes Series 1-2 boxset coming to both formats on the same day!
Series two of SAS Rogue Heroes follows the famous regiment through their Sicily and Italian operations. This time out Lieutenant David Stirling (Connor Swindells) is now a prisoner of war, meaning the unit is now led by Lieutenant Paddy Mayne played by Jack O’Connell. Although technically its Lieutenant Colonel Bill Stirling played by Gwilym Lee (David’s brother) in command.

It really is a well made action drama, but what really surprises me, is seeing it appearing on the BBC. I find myself struggling to find anything worthwhile watching on the BBC these days. In any case I highly recommend you give it a look if you have somehow missed either series.
Series 3 is yet to be confirmed but I’m pretty sure it is going to happen following the success of the first two!
