My October horror season begins here as I count down to Halloween. It’s time to take a look at some of the horror films that are now available on Blu-ray. The Howling releases on Blu-ray in the UK

Only one of this week’s Blu-ray releases really stands out for me and that happens to be the horror film The Howling (1981). Directed by Joe Dante it stars Dee Wallace and Patrick Macnee. The Blu-ray release claims to be a “Brand New Restoration” so fingers crossed that it really does have excellent picture quality, I haven’t checked this version out yet but will be doing so soon. Anyway it’s released by Studiocanal, I’ll put a review out soon so keep an eye out for it.
