The BFI are releasing the classic BBC production of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four starring Peter Cushing, Donald Pleasence, Andre Morell and Yvonne Mitchell on Blu-ray and DVD this April 2022 in the UK.
Nigel Kneale adapted it for television with the drama being first broadcast in 1954. There’s good news to as it’s been newly restored by the BFI using original film materials from the BBC archive.
