New Horror Film Releases On DVD and Blu-ray in the UK For September 2025

If you’re anything like me, you probably love to watch a good horror movie, so what does September 2025 have for us physical media collectors?

Well get ready for a chilling September which has a fantastic line-up of new and classic horror films arriving on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD in the UK.

Week of 1st September

There’s a double dose of retro sci-fi horror from Warner Bros. First up is the 1957 creature feature From Hell It Came, directed by Dan Milner, the film stars Tod Andrews, Tina Carver, Linda Watkins, John McNamara and Gregg Palmer.

Next is the Kinji Fukasaku 1968 sci-fi movie, The Green Slime, starring Robert Horton. Both titles are available on Blu-ray.

Looking at Arrow Video sees the horror-comedy film Deadstream (2022) release on limited edition Blu-ray. The film one is directed by and stars Joseph Winter alongside Melanie Stone and Marty Collins. If you’re a fan of the found-footage subgenre you may wish to give this a look!

Week of 8th September

A quick look at the second week of September 2025 brings a mix of new and vintage terror. Vertigo Releasing has the new horror film, Dangerous Animals (2025) which comes to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD. The film stars Hassie Harrison, Jai Courtney, and Josh Heuston.

There’s a couple of cult classics sci-fi horror movies coming from 88 Films this September. First up is Stuart Gordon’s From Beyond (1986), starring Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton and Ted Sorel. This one is available on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray.

The second of 88 Films titles is Shadowzone (1990), directed by J.S. Cardone and starring Louise Fletcher, David Beecroft and James Hong. This new release is available on Blu-ray only.

Week of 15th September

Mid-month sees a huge drop of horror titles including Entertainment in Video’s release of Clown in a Cornfield (2025), a new horror film starring Katie Douglas, Aaron Abrams and Carson MacCormac. You can pick this one up on either Blu-ray or DVD.

Radiance Films adds another four diverse offerings to its Blu-ray catalogue with the release of the 2002 horror drama, In My Skin (directed by and starring Marina De Van), the 1982 horror thriller Litan, the horror thriller My Heart is that Eternal Rose (Kenny Bee, Joey Wong and Tony Leung Chiu-wai) and the classic 1965 sci-fi horror film Planet of the Vampires, directed by Mario Bava. All of which are available on Blu-ray.

Raro Video UK offering for September 2052 is the horror film, Revenge of the Blood Beast (1966). Directed by Michael Reeves the film stars Barbara Steele and Ian Ogilvy.

Meanwhile Treasured Films also has its own horror title with The Last Shark (1981). Directed by Enzo G. Castellari, it stars James Franciscus and Vic Morrow. Both titles are available on Blu-ray in the UK.

Finally, Arrow Video brings, Lucky McKee’s 2006 horror film, The Woods to Blu-ray as a limited edition release. The film stars Agnes Bruckner, Patricia Clarkson and Bruce Campbell.

Week of 22nd September

This week has a couple of highly anticipated releases. Elevation Sales is bringing the recent cinema sci-fi horror film, 28 Years Later (2025) from directed by Danny Boyle to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD. There’s also a special Steelbook Edition! The film stars Jack O’Connell, Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes.

Elevation Sales also has a limited edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray Steelbook of the iconic horror film, Night of the Living Dead (1990).

Other releases include the BFI’s release of Werner Herzog’s 1979 classic Nosferatu the Vampyre, starring Klaus Kinski and Isabelle Adjani, on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray.

Meanwhile Warner Bros continues with its Film Vault collection with special edition 4K Ultra HD releases of Tobe Hooper’s Poltergeist (1982) and Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining (1980).

Indicator (Powerhouse Films) has a limited edition release of 1973 horror thriller Death Carries a Cane, directed by Maurizio Pradeaux on both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray.

There’s a few DVD only titles this week with High Fliers releases the horror action western, Resurrection Road (2025). Written and directed by Ashley Cahill the film stars Michael Madsen, Malcolm Goodwin and Jeff Daniel Phillips.

Universal Pictures re-releases the 2015 horror film, The Witch (written and directed by Robert Eggers). Meanwhile The Wolf Man: Legacy Collection, a 6-disc set for classic monster movies also comes to DVD.

Week of 29th September

The final week of September brings yet more new films. Universal Pictures releases the new sci-fi horror sequel M3GAN 2.0 (2025) on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD. For those of you yet to see or purchase the first film there’s a, M3GAN 2 Movie Collection (1.0 / 2.0) available on both Blu-ray and DVD.

Signature Entertainment brings the horror thriller, The Home (2025) directed by James DeMonaco and starring Pete Davidson, John Glover and Victor Williams to Blu-ray and DVD.

High Fliers rounds out the month with the horror film, Morgan: Killer Doll, directed by Jose Prendes and starring Kayla Fields, Bix Krieger and Sara Kamine.
