With Halloween fast approaching our Dario Argento season continues on Popcorn Cinema Show. Here’s my Deep Red Blu-ray review. Pianist Marcus Daly (David Hemmings) has just been talking with his rather drunk friend Carlo in a square near his apartment. They hear a scream but Carlo wanders off a little worse for wear. Marcus turns to see one of his neighbours, Helga Ulmann being murder in the window.

Have you seen the 1964 version of The Killers? Having just watched the classic 1946 film starring Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardner I decided to check out the Lee Marvin one, also out on Blu-ray. Time for The Killers Blu-ray review 1964.
Firstly if you like myself loved the film noirness of the Burt Lancaster film, that style have gone in this version and replaced with a sixties vibe. Also the story in this version is told through the point of view of the killer where as the 1946 one has us following a life insurance investigator.

So time to look back at a classic British war film which maybe not quite as well known as some other I could mention. Anyway here is my Play Dirty Blu-ray review.
The name of film perfectly captures what this movie is all about. War is not played fairly by the rules, not unless you are watching a typical Hollywood version of events.
Play Dirty is a film that dares to show the nastier side that often occurs in the real world and in this case World War II during the North Africa Campaign.
