Paramount has just released the horror movie, Halloween H20 on 4K Ultra HD in the UK.
Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998), is a horror sequel based on the characters created by Debra Hill and John Carpenter.
Directed by Steve Miner, the film sees Jamie Lee Curtis reprise the role of Laurie Strode from the first two movies.
Other cast members include Josh Hartnett, Adam Arkin, Michelle Williams, Adam Hann-Byrd, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, LL Cool J, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Janet Leigh.
Budget vs Box Office
The film had a estimated budget of around $17 million and went on to take $75 million at the box office.
Reception
Rotten Tomatoes has the film at a Tomatometer (Critics) score of 54% and Popcornmeter (Audience) score of 50% as of the time of writing.
Having revisited this film several times over the years I’d say my opinion of it has improved over time. I’d definitely recommend you give it a look if you haven’t already.
It’s not a classic like Halloween (1978) or Halloween 4 (1988) but certainly better in my opinion than the Rob Zombie or David Gordon Green efforts.
