Halloweens here and what better way to conclude Popcorn Cinema Show’s horror season than with some short horror stories. Here is my Tales of Halloween Blu-ray Review.
- Tales of Halloween (2015)
- Genre: Horror
- Directed By Neil Marshall, Darren Lynn Bousman, Axelle Carolyn, Lucky McKee, Andrew Kasch, Paul Solet, John Skipp, Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson, Mike Mendez, Ryan Schifrin, Dave Parker
- Written By Axelle Carolyn, Andrew Kasch, Neil Marshall, Lucky McKee, Mike Mendez, Dave Parker, Ryan Schifrin, Clint Sears, John Skipp
- Music By Lalo Schifrin, Joseph Bishara, Bobby Johnston, Edwin Wendler, Kung Fu Vampire

Plot
10 short Halloween stories by various directors all linked together by narrator / radio host Adrienne Barbeau in a nice nod to her character in John Carpenter’s The Fog. Highlights for me include the first story in which the babysitters tell a young kid a horror story. Don’t eat all you candy always leave some for Sweet Tooth. I also enjoyed the two neighbours trying to out do each other with their displays only to end badly.
The titles of the stories are:
- Sweet Tooth
- The Night Billy Raised Hell
- Trick
- The Weak and the Wicked
- Grim Grinning Ghost
- Ding Dong
- This Means War
- Friday the 31st
- The Ransom of Rusty Rex
- Bad Seed
I won’t go through them as I think it’s better to simply watch them as they are after all short stories. All done in a nice comedy way meaning if your not keen on one you will probably like the next one.
Acting
Decent acting ensures you will enjoy at least some of these Halloween tales.
Direction / Style
Hit and miss but there’s something for everyone, so a pretty good effort.
Music
The main theme is by Lalo Schifrin and is perfect for the comedy nature they were clearly looking for.
Conclusion: Tales of Halloween (2015) Film Review
This is a very easy light hearted series of Halloween tales nicely put together. I’m sure you will find something here you will enjoy. It all moves along at fair pace.
